Mitch Mitchell, drummer and last surviving member of the Jimi Hendrix Experience and one of the most influential rock and roll drummers of the 1960's, was found dead in his Portland, Oregon hotel room Wednesday. He was 61. Mitchell had just finished a nation wide tour with the Experience Hendrix Tour 2008 and was planning a short vacation in Portland, before returning to London.
